In August 2018, the former chairman of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Mr. Hawke Koch, visited Qingdao for an in-depth inspection of QingDao Movie Studios. 

QingDao Movie Studios President Sun Hengqin and Mr. Hawke inspected QingDao Movie Studios together, and introduced in detail the soundstages, setting workshops, post-production services, technical services and movie and television subsidy policies. 

As the former chairman of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Mr. Hawke gave constructive opinions on the construction of the QingDao Movie Studios project, crew services and subsidy policy formulation.
