The southern section of Qingdao Metro Line 1 successfully passed the project acceptance, and the line is fully qualified for trial operation. 

On September 3, under the full supervision of the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Municipal Public Supervision Station, and Qingdao Metro Group. All participating units in the construction of the southern section of Qingdao Metro Line 1 carried out project engineering acceptance for the southern section of Line 1.  After meeting reviews, reports and site surveys, all professional acceptance groups unanimously passed the project acceptance, marking that the southern section of Line 1 is fully equipped for trial operation. 

The southern section of Line 1 from Wangjiagang Station to Qingdao North Station, with a total length of about 38 kilometres, has 26 stations, a vehicle base, and the deepest (about 88 meters) subway submarine tunnel in the country from sea level.
